Product Hedge Trimmers 32 Landscape and Irrigation June 2014 www.landscapeirrigation.com Shindaiwa 232 and 235 Series hedge trimmers The Shindaiwa 232 and 235 Series of hedge trimmers offer an all-new lightweight design and are powered by a dependable 21.2-cc, professional-grade, 2-stroke engine. Both the double-sided (DH) and single-sided (HT) models are available in 2 blade lengths. They also feature nickel-plated, laser-cut, precision-ground blades; a vibration reduction system; and front exhaust. The DH models have a rotating rear handle for a variety of cutting positions, and the HT models come equipped with a debris sweeper. Stihl HSA 66 hedge trimmer The Stihl HSA 66 comes equipped with a 10-inch blade and runs up to 40 percent longer than previous models, which can be up to 11 hours of run time when used with the Stihl AR 900 backpack battery. The HSA 66 weighs about a pound less than the previous model (at 10.7 pounds with battery), making it much easier to maneuver. The HSA 66 Lithium-Ion hedge trimmer features a 36-volt lithium-ion battery and delivers strong, quiet cutting performance. Another tool in the Stihl Battery KombiSystem, the HSA 66 runs on the same universal battery shared by all Battery KombiSystem tools. And, as always, there's no gradual drop in performance — it runs at full power until the battery is fully depleted. TMC's PHT3000V hedge trimmer TMC's PHT3000V 32-inch single-sided hedge trimmer features a 22.5-cc Kawasaki engine and a heavy- duty gearbox that combine to generate a dual-reciprocating cutting speed of 40.55 inches per second. Matched forged iron blades stay sharper longer, and, with minimal gaps between the top and bottom blades, cut through both fine and coarse materials with ease. Heavy-duty gears, cams and rods efficiently and durably transfer power from the engine to the cutting surface. The looped aluminum handle and trigger-type throttle lever enable the operator to easily maneuver the PHT3000V to virtually any cutting angle. Plus, the PHT3000V is light weight and its 12.4 pounds is evenly distributed, reducing operator fatigue and enabling longer and more comfortable use. WORX WG268 22-inch 40V MaxLithium hedge trimmer The WORX WG268 22-inch 40V MaxLithium hedge trimmer (WG268) provides gas-like power and run time. The laser-cut, dual-action cutting blades provide a premium-quality cut, severing up to 3/4-inch- diameter branches. Weighing only 9.3 pounds, the hedge trimmer features a rear handle with a soft overmold grip to reduce operator fatigue and improve grip. A front-assist D-style handle supports both horizontal and vertical trimming. The cordless trimmer with battery-level indicator recharges in 3 hours. W.E. Hedge Trimmer Chapps W.E. Hedge Trimmer Chapps are designed to prevent injuries to the thigh, knee and groin area, caused by the cutting action from all hedge trimmers. They are abrasion, tear and snag resistant with a waterproof exterior shell and a durable, cool, cotton liner inside. Tough, flexible thigh panels and a removable, hard- plastic groin cup provide excellent protection. Open back and shorter length provide maximum coolness. W.E. Hedge Trimmer Chapps feature a 1-piece design with a quick-release plastic buckle, and they attach around the legs with elastic straps and hook-and-loop fasteners for the right fit quick and easy. Pro-Tex Knee Pads can be added for more comfort when kneeling to do cleanup. The cup is included. W.E. Hedge Trimmer Chapps are fully adjustable, so one size fits all.
