STEVE HUDSON is Enjoying
a Stellar Year of Amateur Senior Golf
Steve Hudson, who grew up in Jasper at Mus-
grove Country Club under the watchful eye of his
late father long-time golf professional at the club
Travis Hudson, was inducted into the Birmingham
Golf Association's Hall of Fame in 2013, joining his
older brother Travis "Tab" Hudson II, who was in-
ducted in 2011.
These gol ng brothers are the only siblings in
the Hall of Fame. William McWane, his wife Louise
and their daughter Bee McWane Reid are all induct-
ees, making quite the gol ng family.
You might think Hudson, 56, might be slowing
down on the golf course. The complete opposite is
true as his game continues to get better and better.
This Birmingham resident and former University
of Alabama golfer (he was part of the Crimson Tide

1979) has had a stellar year of senior golf highlight-
ed by winning the Society of Seniors Masters, the
State Senior and the
Golfweek Senior Match Play,
together with being co-champion of the prestigious
Senior Porter Cup, which concluded on Friday. He
also nished third in the Canadian Senior Amateur
two weeks ago.
