18 October 2014 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com Special Feature John Deere 652r anD 652r eFi Quiktrak mower moDelS with mulch on DemanD Now available on the 652R and 652R EFI QuikTrak mower models, John Deere's industry exclusive Mulch On Demand (MOD) technology allows an operator to switch between mulching and side discharging without leaving the mower. This reduces cleanup time by keeping clippings off sidewalks and driveways and out of mulch beds. The QuikTrak MOD can be converted from a wide-open-side-discharge mode to a full-chambered mulching mode or any position in-between by holding down on the electric switch that is conveniently located on the dash. The 652R MOD features a commercial- quality V-twin air-cooled engine coupled with an easy-to-learn hydrostatic transmission. The unit is equipped with a 7-gauge 52-inch Mulch On Demand mower deck and a 23.5-hp. engine. The 652R EFI MOD boasts a commercial- quality electronic fuel injected (EFI) V-twin air-cooled engine for faster starts, smoother operation, and greater efficiency. The EFI model is also equipped with a 7-gauge 52-inch MOD deck, but comes with a 25.0-hp. engine. kubota Z700 SerieS Kubota's Z700 Series is the ultimate solution to the turf care professional's demand for a high-quality and productive zero-turn mower, at a competitive price point. The Z723, Z724 and the Z725 boast powerful Kohler Command V-Twin Engines and integrated Parker 14cc pump and wheel motors. Available with a rugged commercial deck in three popular cutting widths (48-, 54- and 60-inch), the Z700-Series comes equipped with a wide operator platform, a thick high-back adjustable seat, and a convenient deck height adjustment dial. Maintenance is simple with an unobstructed engine area for easy access, and the battery can be reached by simply lifting the seat panel. Each model in the series is equipped with a commercial-grade Parker Torqpact GT14 transmission that delivers maximum power to the wheels, and an 11.6-gallon fuel tank for more operating hours, less downtime and superior productivity. Stihl FS 94 r proFeSSional trimmer The Stihl FS 94 R professional trimmer offers features to simplify landscaping tasks in a powerful 2-stroke engine pack- age. The FS 94 R debuts as the lightest trimmer in the Stihl professional line and features one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class. At just above 10 pounds, the FS 94 R combines performance, portability and innovation to help pros tackle large jobs with less fatigue. The FS 94 R is equipped with the Ecospeed throttle adjustment wheel, allowing users to set the most effective speed for a particular application, such as low throttle around flower beds and high throttle to cut through thick grass and weeds. It does all of this with stable engine operation and performance throughout the RPM range while delivering the maneuverability needed to navigate around obstacles and power to get the job done. turFco torrent blower Turfco's new patent-pending Torrent blower delivers high-velocity, high-volume airflow with a new level of control for year-round productivity. Superintendents and grounds mangers now have greater command over air speed, air direc- tion, noise management and fuel consumption. Answering the call for more control, Turfco developed a new wireless, handheld controller to adjust blower functions and multiple air-speed settings. The controller allows the operator to dial in the exact nozzle direction for unprecedented precision. Faster nozzle rotation speed dramatically increases productivity, because operators won't need to slow down to wait for the blower at the end of each pass. The controller is also equipped with an idle/resume button, enabling users to idle down the machine when bystanders are near and quickly resume operation at their original setting when the area is clear. The combination of the idle/resume button and multiple airspeed settings increases overall efficiency, helps operators save money on fuel costs, and reduces noise. An exclusive, optional auxiliary control kit is available as a backup if the wireless controller is ever lost or destroyed. turFex rS7200e SpreaDer/Sprayer The TurfEx RS7200E spreader/sprayer features an electric start, adjustable electric spray pump, and a handheld spray wand. A 17-gallon tank system has a single port for easy filling and a balanced design for enhanced stability. To apply the liquid, the RS7200E includes a front-mounted boomless nozzle, which can spray between 3 and 11 feet wide, as well as a professional-duty spray wand. An optional front-mounted boom can also be installed on the machine within a few minutes. When attached, the boom wings can be folded for traveling through fence gates and other confined areas, and they include spring-activated tripping mechanisms to help prevent damage if the boom strikes an obstacle. The hopper of the RS7200E holds up to 150 pounds, or 3 cubic feet, of material, which can be spread up to 11 feet wide by the 12-inch polyethylene spinner. A calibration key is provided to set the locking gate for consistent, accurate application of granular material. * Manufacturers were allowed to submit more than one new product for consideration, as long as the product was introduced between October 1, 2013 and Sep- tember 30, 2014.
