It almost seems too obvious
to point out that texting
on a mobile phone has in
recent years become a
major risk to safe driving.
However, legislation
regarding this differs
greatly between states and
provinces. Distractions on
the road are many – a good
driver instinctively knows to
avoid them.
Distractions

Due to the amount of time we
spend on the road, many of the
environments we find ourselves
in feel very familiar - freeways,
roundabouts and inner city traffic,
for instance. Many accidents
happen on the roads that we know
best – or think we know best. The
key is to avoid complacency and to
always maintain awareness.

It's a maneuver you've performed hundreds of times, yet
not everyone will hear a truck's warning signal every time.
Ensuring maximum visibility to the back of the vehicle means
leaving nothing to chance. Don't be afraid to get out and take
a second look if unsure or even ask for help if possible.
