Z INSTRUCTION MUST KNOW HOW HIGH? Teeing your ball at the right height is just as important as having the right technique! Are you teeing it right? BY MEGAN PADUA A general rule for teeing up your golf ball is to see at least half of the ball over the head of the driver. The height the ball is teed up will directly influence the zone of the clubface that the ball will contact. The upper section of the clubface is the "low spin zone," which is the optimal contact point for long drives! Tour players produce a low spin tee ball by contacting the ball slightly above the sweet spot. The lower half of the clubface will create higher spin, causing the golf ball to travel a shorter distance. Next time you head to the tee remember, "Tee it High and Let it Fly!"
