Greg Jendreas to head CLFMI board for 2015 COLUMBIA, Md. — The board of directors of the Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute (CLFMI) has elected Greg Jendreas, president of Bergandi Machinery Compa- ny, Ontario, Calif., as the 2015 president of CLFMI. Jendreas, a long- time industry leader who was formerly operations manager and later CEO of Master Halco, took offi ce January 1, 2015. At its meeting on December 16, the board also elected Tim O'Brien, Master Halco, as vice-president, and Tim Ogg, Allied Tube & Conduit, as secretary-treasurer. In other CLFMI news, the lat- est (November 2014) revisions to the CLFMI Product Manual have been completed and the newest version is now loaded onto the CLFMI web site. The purpose of the Product Man- ual is to provide chain link fence technical information for general knowledge, system design or the de- velopment of a commercial/industrial/ security chain link fence specifi cation. It contains detailed technical data on a wide range of chain link fences and gates, as well as components such as galvanized and color coated fabric and framework. The product man- ual includes drawings of four stan- dard chain link fence designs plus swing gate, cantilever slide gate and fi tting/assembly details. Greg Jendreas Jo-Mar Fence founder Joe Spicer was devoted Michigan Chapter AFA member and supporter The Michigan Chapter AFA is sad to announce the passing of Joseph Spicer, affectionately known as "Joe." He was born May 15, 1928 and died November 26, 2014 at the age of 86. Before opening Jo-Mar Fence in De- troit, Joe was a coal miner in West Virginia. He also served in the Korean War at the rank of sergeant. Joe and his wife, Ruth, were blessed with two children, a son, Mark Spicer, and a daughter, Karen Spicer. He is also survived by fi ve siblings and two grandchildren, Paris Spicer and Jalen Spicer. Joe was a faithful member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years. The Michigan Chapter will send a donation to his church to honor the life of Joe. Our chapter will miss him. He was always at all of our functions and a great help.
