FLEET FLEET PROFILE To get a closer look, we delved into the equipment financing habits of a sample of contractors who work in this segment. We examined the 5-year financed buying habits of contractors who were identified by both the Standard Industry Code 1624, water sewer pipeline construc- tion, and by the National American Industry Classifica- tion System Code 237110, water and sewer line and related structures construction. This report is taken from Equipment Data Associates information, which tracks Uniform Commercial Code-1 finance filings; since these filings are typically added within 45 days of record- ing, we chose the March 1, 2010 to Feb. 28, 2015 time frame for this report. During that time period, a total of 1,662 companies within this sector purchased 22,182 pieces of equipment, including 8,755 new machines and 13,427 used machines.
