Former president Mike Betts remains the company's CEO and Chairman of the Board. Denise Rondini has joined Marx Group Advisors as vice president and member of the company's Advisory Board. Volvo Group has dismissed Olof Persson as its president and chief executive, and plans to hire Scania boss Martin Lundstedt to lead Volvo Trucks. Volvo Financial Services also has appointed Marcio Pedroso as president of its Americas Region. Henning O. Bruns is the new general manager for the DTNA truck manufacturing plant in Cleveland, N.C. Double Coin has named Rico Austin as Regional Sales Manager for its Southwest Region, and Bill Telefonow as Regional Sales Manager for its Canada Region. Centric Parts and AP Exhaust Technologies have announced a joint board agreement between the two companies. AP Executive Chairman Vange Proimos will join the Centric Parts Board of Directors, and Centric President and CEO, Dan Lelchuk, will join AP board. MERA has hired Brian Hall as senior director, membership and sales. People In The News Christodoulou Bruns Rondini Distributor Of The Year Nomination Period Now Open Truck Parts & Service has opened the nomination period for its 2015 Distribu- tor of the Year award. The Distributor of the Year nomina- tion process is open to the entire trucking industry, and all distributors in the United States and Canada are eligible for the award. Interested parties may nominate up to three distributors at www.dotynominations.com through Friday, June 26, 2015. Once the nomination process is complete, Truck Parts & Service will release its fi ve fi nalists in July. GenNext introduces a new feature to its website, GenNext University.
