It is urgent that you reserve your hotel now. Additional large groups are holding meetings in Miami at the same time IDA will be there. Visit the IDA website TODAY and under the Conven- tion tab, look for the "Click Here" to register at the hotel. ere is no cause for concern for funds. e room reservation can be cancelled a few days before convention for a full refund, so don't wait until the last minute to confi rm your schedule. It is well worth the eff ort to avoid a last minute hassle to locate a sleeping room. I am sure you will agree it is so much more convenient to stay in the hotel where the IDA meetings and trade show are held. is also helps the IDA ensure it will not pay a penalty for unused rooms. In this issue of the magazine, you can check out the scheduled tour, tournaments (golf and fi shing), speakers and the trade show times. ere is also a printed convention registration form; however, consider taking the simpler route of registering online at www.idaparts.org. ere, you can complete information on the registrants, make payment and you are done. A receipt is emailed to you immediately, confi rming the payment has been processed. e Board of Directors is anxious to get fresh ideas and perspectives from newly elected members a er the Miami Conven- tion. Currently, there are several positions for North America and South America with terms of offi ce that will expire in October. Every person who has served on the Board will confi rm that it is a great experience. So much is learned from the fellow members about the heavy equipment industry and busy practices worldwide. e board meets twice a year, and one meeting is at the conven- tion. e term of offi ce is two years. Please feel comfortable nominating yourself or chat with other compa- nies in our industry and assist with the search for new nominees. I do hope bussisness is good for all I.D.A. Members, a bit slow here on the West coast. Cindy Emily and I took a vacation in Australia and had a wonderful safe trip. I did stop off in Brisbane Port and was picked up by Don Frost and driven to Toowoomba, abour one hours drive, to visit Tillys Crawler Parts Pty. What a well operated parts service and salvage yard, a proud member of I.D.A., and it was obvious Tillys is a top performer in the a er market parts and service world- wide market. I highly suggest any member please put visiting Tillys in your future Australian Visit. Convention time is soon coming, and I do hope you all can be a part of the highlights and grandeur of Miami, and the getting together at our annual I.D.A. Convention. Register Now for Miami
