Over recent years, CTMG has also explored ideas about the construction of comprehensive production management coordination centers and models for their operation; strengthened guidance over production at enterprises in which it has taken a controlling stake; completed the tasks of produc- tion and marketing of seven units of ultra-high- speed cigarette rolling-tipping-packing equipment; conducted research on models for establishing production management information collection systems; completed the work of operating pilot projects establishing such systems at Changde Tobacco Machinery; continued to research inno- vative production organization models based on flexible manufacturing and flexible assembly so as to meet changes in user demand for production and supply of various tobacco machinery in small quantities; implemented requirements for "lean manufacturing" with priority given to solving ex- isting problems in product manufacturing organi- zation and quality control; and formulated plans for improving a total of 11 products, which have all been fulfilled. Effective production organization and man- agement both require assurance by well-estab- lished systems. In 2013, CTMG further improved its establishment of production management sys- tems, as well as formulated and distributed Opin- ions on Guidance over Management of Workflow at en- terprises in which they had controlling stakes. This steadily promoted optimization of workflow at the relevant enterprises to its staff and management. CTMG also formulated and distributed Measures for Management over Procurement of Material Supplies for Production and Measures for Management over Suppliers, further strengthening the procurement of material supplies and the management of suppliers.
