Powerful and robust, these log splitters feature Subaru engines with a noise-reducing muffler design, 5-inch bore position, and 12- to 17-second cycle time. An open operating zone reduces operator bending, reaching and fatigue by allowing operators to walk right into the work zone. Centrally located controls make it operable from either side, while vertical and horizontal splitting capacity allows the operator to split larger logs with less lifting. Critical components and hoses are located at the front of the machine to reduce the likelihood of damage to the unit from dropped logs. A work table and log cradle come standard for productivity and ease of use, eliminating the need to set logs on the ground or having logs drop to the ground. BANDIT INDUSTRIES MODEL 2550 TRACK STUMP GRINDER The Model 2550 Track stump grinder from Bandit Industries combines the popularity of the Model 2550XP self-propelled stump grinder with the versatility and go-anywhere mobility of a track-mounted machine. Featuring the same 44-hp. diesel engine and a 20-inch- diameter Revolution cutter wheel from the standard 2550, the Model 2550 Track delivers the all-terrain capabilities and superb flotation found in larger track machines. Its light weight makes it easy to tow, while the track undercar- riage provides exceptional maneuverability. A standard swing-out operator's station places all machine controls to the side of the machine, giving operators a clear view of the work area. A wireless radio remote with tether back-up is a popular option for those who prefer to be located away from the machine while grinding. All Bandit stump grinders, including the Model 2550 Track, are built with a solid chassis construction using continuous steel welds. The Model 2550 Track features a beltless hydrostatic direct-drive, delivering smooth, direct power to the cutter wheel while reducing maintenance downtime and costs associated with traditional belt drive models. BRAVE PCLS2013GC Brave's PCLS2013GC is a powerful 20-ton, dual-split, horizontal log splitter that splits logs in both the forward and reverse stroke, reducing work time by 50 percent. The splitter features a 7-second cycle time, an 8-inch carbon steel wedge, a 4-inch by 24-inch clevis cylinder and a standard Honda GC160 over- head cam engine. Recommended for 2 to 100 cords per season, the PCLS2013GC accepts logs up to 24 inches long. It also comes with a standard, removable log tray and easy-to- operate controls. DOSKO 337-13H The 337-13H is Dosko's most popular stump grinder model. This full-size, walk-behind unit features a side-discharge frame that moves chipped material out and away from the ma- chine while grinding, reducing cleanup time. With a 32-inch width, it easily fits through nar- row paths, walkways and gates. A five-position handlebar gives users increased comfort and control. The 337-13H comes standard with 500 Series Greenteeth, which can be rotated in three, 120-degree increments for a fresh cutting edge in minutes. Heavy-duty belts and idler bearings ensure durability and reliability. The 337-13H is powered by a Honda GX390 engine. ECHO'S CS-490 CHAIN SAW Echo's new CS-490 chain saw is an ideal general-use saw and a lightweight alternative in the 50-cc class. The CS-490 is loaded with professional features, including a rugged, 50.2-cc, professional-grade, 2-stroke engine with a chrome-plated cylinder that delivers outstanding power and long-lasting perfor- mance. The CS-490 is equipped with a mag- nesium crankcase for lightweight durability; a dual-post chain brake handle with inertia- style brake; the Echo G-Force Engine Air Pre-cleaner, which pulls dust and chips from the air box to provide a clean air supply to the engine; an automatic, adjustable, clutch- driven oiler for reduced oil consumption; a heavy-duty air filter with tool-less access for easy maintenance; spring-style vibration- reduction system for increased operator comfort and reduced fatigue; a reduced-effort starter, which provides easy startups — hot or cold; a side-access chain tensioner for easy chain adjustment; and a composite handle, which provides improved, lightweight comfort. The CS-490 is available in 16-, 18- or 20-inch bar configurations.
