CHASSIS SYSTEM ALLOWS QUICK CHANGES
Prinoth's new Panther T16 track carrier introduces a new chassis system for the company named Rapid Attach Design, or RAD,
which allows quick changes with no frame alterations needed. The T16 offers a Cat C7.1 Tier 4 fi nal engine and has a payload of
33,500 lbs. Ground pressure is rated at 1.83 psi unloaded and 4.1 psi fully loaded. As with the other Panther models, the T16 can be
fi tted with a one- or two-person cab.
PERKINS DEBUTS
NEW 400 SERIES ENGINE
Perkins used ICUEE as the North Ameri-
can debut of its 2.2-liter 404F-E22T/TA
engine. At the upper end of the Perkins
400 Series, the 4-cylinder engine can
produce 49 to 67 horsepower and uses
a diesel oxidation catalyst to meet Tier
4 Final emission regulations. All service
items are located on one side, and the
engine has 500-hour service intervals.
Designed for narrow package fi ts, such as
on the Cat 239D compact track loader, the
turbocharged engine uses a common rail
fuel system.
