Women and men alike are making that slow return to the glamour that was lost in recent years. They've reached that crux where they want it back, they've worked harder than ever these past few years to earn it, and they're starting to convince themselves that's it's okay to have it again. With that we see vibrant, whimsical, sophisticated designs, and creations that speak of the elegance of bygone eras. We see pungent, citrusy shades that keep in sync with Pantone's Color of the Year — Tangerine Tango — and a dedication to the basics of black and white, often told exquisitely through the combination of black and white diamonds. We see the men's market broadening by the day, welcoming gentlemen from rock stars to CEOs into the category of the well-dressed man. We see a rekindled love affair with the glamour of the cocktail ring, sparked in part by the newfound cocktail culture, and, as ever, we see summertime pointing to lighter, wispier styles; stones the colors of sun and surf; and a few bold cuffs thrown in to accent those arms that have been hibernating all winter. There's a vibrant audience out there and they're hungry for design that will attract and inspire. It's a great time for color, for creativity, for bold statements, and for heralding a new era in glamour. EDITORIAL and ADVERTISING OFFICES: JQ Magazine, 1030 W.
