KUBOTA INTRODUCES TWO NEW TLB MODELS: L47 AND M62 Kubota introduced the new L47 and M62 tractor loader backhoes (TLBs) with features designed to meet the needs of the construction, landscaping and rental sectors. Both TLBs are more powerful than their predecessors, and comply with Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. An optional hydraulic coupler, available on both models, enables easy attachment and detachment of auxiliary implements. The M62 (pictured) has a 14-foot maximum digging depth, a 17-percent improvement over the previous model. In addition, the backhoe features a quick coupler system for a fast exchange of buckets, and a four-point rear mounting system allows the backhoe to be easily removed and reattached. TAKEUCHI TB210R COMPACT EXCAVATOR The Takeuchi TB210R features a minimal tail swing design, a retractable undercarriage, a backfill blade that can go from 40.2 inches wide down to 29.5 inches wide, as well as a new foldable ROPS/TOPS canopy that can reduce the machine's overall height to gain access to and work in some of the most confined applications. Upgrades to the TB210R include pilot-operated joystick controls with ISO/SAE control pattern change valve, selector valve, and pilot accumulator. Pilot controls deliver excellent fine control and responsiveness for greater productivity and reduced operator fatigue, while the addition of the ISO/SAE pattern change valve allows the operator to choose a preferred operational pattern. To enhance attachment versatility, the TB210R features a selector valve for one-way and two-way auxiliary hydraulic flow, and the new pilot accumulator enables the operator to easily remove residual pressure from the auxiliary lines. JCB engineers have completed the development of this technology with pilot controls now offered as optional equipment. Other options include a climate-controlled cab, hammer pipework, an extending dipper and loader pipework. JOHN DEERE 50G EXCAVATOR The John Deere 50G excavator (36 hp./ 26.8 kW) features a variety of improvements, many which affect the cab design to improve visibility, operator comfort and productivity. A key addition is the new door design for improved entry and visibility to the left side of the machine. The door design also widens the opening for entering the cab. Within the operator station, a new multifunction monitor provides a coolant temperature and fuel gauge, clock, two trip meters, regeneration inhibit, auto shut down control, and machine hours among other functions. Since machine uptime is imperative on today's jobsite, John Deere added a third service door to the 50G to provide improved access to the cooling core. The cores are positioned side-by- side rather than stacked inline for increased cooling performance. Like all G-Series models, the 50G includes unique features such as an oil-impregnated boom, and arm and bucket bushings to help deliver unsurpassed long-term durability. TEREX TC85 COMPACT CRAWLER EXCAVATOR The Terex TC85 compact crawler excavator is built for demanding excavation jobs and space-restrictive trenching work. It features the perfect combination of a short-radius tail swing and a Knickmatic boom offset that allows operators to dig alongside the machine's own tracks. Weighing 18,080 pounds, the TC85 excavator boasts bucket capacities from 3.1 to 10.8 cubic feet, a dig depth of 14 feet 10 inches, a bucket digging force of 11,960 lbf and a reach of 25 feet 4 inches. This new model's deep digging capability makes it an ideal machine for landscaping applications. Three track options are available for this machine: rubber (standard), steel, and steel with rubber pads, allowing contractors to match their machine to their applications. Featuring a Tier 4 Final 75-hp. 2.9L Deutz diesel engine with 221 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm, the TC85 excavator meets emissions requirements through a diesel oxidation catalyst. This translates to a reduced maintenance exhaust system, as there is no need for regeneration or to inject diesel exhaust fluid.
