As for infrastructure, there is a lot of work occurring on the Garden State Parkway, as well as in Egg Harbor, which is installing new water lines. Finally, we asked what strategy the company was implementing for 2016, and Ryan noted that they are fo- cused on streamlining the installation processes in order to get done faster while still maintaining quality. We caught up with Terry Myers of A+ Quality Fence and Deck in Montgomery, Alabama. Terry told us that they were having a very busy season. The company business mix at the time we spoke was 60% residential and 40% commercial, generated with- in a 25 mile radius. We asked what the biggest prod- uct mover was on the residential side, and were told that it is cypress privacy fence. On the commercial side, it is ornamental railings for light commer- cial applications. Terry told us that the company was established in 1996. In addition to the aforementioned fence products, the company deals in wood fencing, decks, ornamental, Trex Composite Fencing, arbors, pergolas, and gate operators. They also deal with a DIY market, and have a showroom. We asked if the company want- ed to give a shout out to any notable crew members or supervisors, but Ter- ry emphasized that the operation is a team effort. We asked about the economy in the area, and Terry told us that on the residential side there are quite a few single family homes being built, as well as renovations. On the com- mercial side, there is a fair amount of renovation occurring rather than new building. As for infrastructure, we were told there is nothing really going on in the area because it's pretty built up. Finally for this issue we spoke with Harry H. Murphy Jr. of A-Murphy Fence Company in Chesapeake, Virginia. Harry told us at the time we spoke this season was going great. The company, which has been serving Virginia since 1989, does 100% residential work, generated within a 50 mile radius. At the time we spoke the company was six weeks out. We asked what the biggest movers were in residential, and were told it is custom wood and aluminum. We then asked if he wanted to give special credit to any notable crew members or supervisors by name, and Harry said that Steve Freunde, his in- stallation supervisor, is doing an out- standing job. We asked how important is it to locate underground utilities, and whether they have specific procedures for doing it. We then asked about the econo- my in the area, and were told that it was good. Much of that is due to the military presence in the area. Custom residential housing is also doing very well. The area has the largest school system and really is a bedroom com- munity where schools are a major driving force. On the commercial side, there is some work taking place in the down- town area of Norfolk.
