From Sept. 21-Oct. 6, Madison Th eatre Guild offers lessons in the value of friendship in "Lettice and Lovage" before the award- winning "Next to Normal" hits the stage Nov. 30–Dec. 15. In the mood for something more serious? Head to Broom Street Th eater for "One Man/One Woman" Sept. 14–Oct. 6 and Syengali's Follies Oct. 19–Nov. 10. Craving something more musical? Th e As the air gets chilly, head indoors for drama-fi lled fun as Madison's performing arts scene heats things up. To escape reality for a bit, sit back, relax and enjoy the shows. Forward Th eater Company's fall season kicks off Sept. 20 with the hilarious (and nationally recognized) "44 Showstoppers Overture Center promises a season full of celebrity, song and dance starting now— but be sure to mark your calendar for the Broadway hit, "Jersey Boys," which starts Nov. 7. Fresco Opera Th eatre's production of "Th e Good, the Bad and the Divas" will throw you into the Wild West from Sept. 7–9, while Madison Opera's "A Masked Ball" Oct. 26 and 28 will keep you on the edge of your seat. Dance afi cionados will revel in the spec- Fresco Opera Theatre's "The Good, the Bad and the Divas" tacular selection of performances this fall. Travel gracefully around the world at Overture Center's "Ballet Folklorico de Mexico" on Oct. 9 and "Moulin Rouge – Th e Ballet" on Oct. 30. Bring the kids to see "Th e Fresh Beat Band" on Oct. 18, and leap into the Christmas season with the Madi- son Ballet during the annual rendition of "Th e Nutcracker" Dec. 15–24.
