Fleet News 56 | Overdrive | July 2017 By Dean SmallwooD DECKER AWARDS MOTORCYCLE TO ITS DRIVER OF THE YEAR DECKER TRUCK LINE recognized Arthur Clubb of Missoula, Montana, as its 2016 Grand Champion Professional Driver of the Year during a ceremony at the company's head- quarters in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Clubb, a four-year Decker employee who drives for the company's Missoula-based Western Reefer Division, received a plaque and a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. FACILITIES BAY & BAY TRANSPORTATION opened a new terminal in Denton, Texas. The Eagan, Minnesota-based refrigerated hauler said the new location will make it possible for owner- operators and company drivers who live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and across the South to have a maintenance and parking facility closer to home. The terminal has a four-bay maintenance shop, a washout area, a fuel island, a drivers' lounge with showers and laun- dry and more than 100 park- ing spaces. SAIA INC. opened four new terminals to expand its less- than-truckload services in the Northeast. The terminals are in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Newark, New Jersey. Saia, based in Johns Creek, Georgia, also purchased a facility in Laurel, Maryland, which it plans to open this year. Lexington, South Carolina- based SOUTHEASTERN FREIGHT LINES opened a new service center in Garland, Texas. The facility has 104 dock doors, employs 72 associates and is the LTL company's third ser- vice center in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Arthur Clubb is a U.S. Air Force veteran who has been driving profes- sionally for more than 27 years.
