Travel • Reactivated St. Antoinette Court #870 in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 6th. • Madison Wisconsin Diocesan meeting in Madison on June 12th. • Planning to deliver a lap top computer to John Hill in Platteville, Wisconsin on June 22nd. Mr. Hill won the Spring Life contest. The meeting recessed at 8:45 p.m. with a prayer. Thursday and Friday June 28, 2012 The June quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Catholic Society of Foresters was called to order by National President Margaret Babinat on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 8:06 a.m. in the board room of the Home Office. All members of the Board were present. The meeting opened with prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. A two day board retreat and strategy planning meeting was held under the guidance of Harvey Bergholz of the Jelsen Corp. The Board spent two days with a professional facilitator and focused on Strategic Planning. Areas of consideration include: Insurance Business Side marketing, products/services • Continue to add new agents, increasing sales representation by 50% for 3 years. • Modernize compensation system of agents. • Evaluate and adjust current product. • New product development of at least 1 per year for next 5 years. • New state penetration 1 per year for 2 years. • Services: Evaluate or reengineer services to support agents. Evaluate and re-engineer services for members. • Create comprehensive marketing plan and brand identity. • New financial services. Fraternal side general re-vitalization of fraternal department • Establish leadership for fraternal department. • Achieve membership levels of 32,000-35,000 by 2017 • Redesign materials: magazine, brochures. • Charter or reactivate 3 courts per year. • Expand fraternal benefits, 2 new benefits within 4 years. continued on page 10 Fall 2012 — www.ncsf.com 9
