UL 330 guidelines take effect as of January 1, 2013, and require the use of approved flammable liquid hose assemblies, which consist of flexible hose and fittings suitable for attachment to flammable liquid dispensing equipment. Curb pump hoses have been specifically designed for conventional dispensing applications that require a hardwall construction for full flow and no internal spring guards, making them ideal for use with gasoline, diesel, ethanol up to E15 and biodiesel up to B20. Tanknology's Master Alliance Program consists of elite petroleum equipment distributors, contractors and independent oil companies who partner with the company in a joint marketing program to provide their customers with access to Tanknology's full-range of UST testing and compliance services. The program, which currently includes 20 partners, allows these companies to expand their service offering by providing key addi January/February 2013 tional services and site compliance assurance in a value-added program to their existing clients. n Getty Realty Puts Six New York Area Terminal Sites Up For Bid through NRC Getty Realty Corp. has retained NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, LLC (Chicago) to coordinate its divesture of six closed petroleum terminal sites with potential redevelopment use. The properties are located in Long Island City, Bronx/Mt Vernon, Catskill, Port Ewen and Rhinebeck, NY and Newark, NJ. Land sizes range from 2 acres to 15 acres. Published minimum bids range from $400,000 to $3 million. The properties will be sold using NRC's sealed bid sale process. NRC will be coordinating property viewings. Property Specific Packages (due diligence packages) are expected to be available in mid-January, with a bid deadline of March 7, 2013. Broker cooperation is encouraged, and a 3-percent broker co-op commission is being offered. The new facility will be online early February, and is located at Arkansas Terminaling & Trading in North Little Rock, AR. Supplied by rail, the new facility is the first bulk DEF rail trans-loading facility in Central Arkansas, providing the most efficient and highest volume facility of its kind. Also, the new facility is the only DEF terminal in the nation located within a refined petroleum products terminal facility at this time. With the expansion at the terminal, TAC Energy will become a Tier 1 distributor of TerraCair® Ultrapure Diesel Exhaust Fluid. n Franklin Fueling Systems Acquires Flex-Ing Inc. Franklin Fueling Systems (Madison, Wisc.) has completed the acquisition of Flex-ing Inc. of Sherman, Texas USA. Flex-ing is one of the industry's leading manufacturers of stainless steel flexible hose connectors, composite manhole covers, dispensing hoses, as well as other storage tank hardware and accessories.
