Dodge Ram 2013 Heavy Duty lineup The 2013 Ram Heavy Duty line features best-in-class towing and best-in-class Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR). Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks also add new features, including an all-new interior, next-generation Uconnect Access, Powernet, new frames and new suspension. The 2013 Ram Heavy Duty further solidifies the long list of leadership claims, including best-in-class total cost of ownership. For 2013, Ram Heavy Duty trucks feature new frames built with high-strength 50 KSI steel, including eight separate cross-members, hydroformed main rails and fully boxed rear rails for optimal strength and mass efficiency. To handle the best-in-class towing and payload capability of the new Ram Heavy Duty, a new front and rear suspension system with advanced geometry builds upon the chassis improvements and greatly improves overall roll stiffness. The new premium reciprocating ball steering gear, redesigned steering knuckles, ball joints and more robust steering linkages deliver enhanced and precise oncenter feel despite the vehicle's higher towing and payload capacities. Several body improvements have been made to enhance overall noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) and to align with the capabilities of the 2013 Ram Heavy Duty. A new capless fuel filler on diesel applications is a space-saving initiative that enables side-by-side fuel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) port configuration. The Ram 3500 features a factoryinstalled trailer tow connector in the truck bed, included with the optional 5th wheel or gooseneck tow prep package. 2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty Ford continues to strengthen the FSeries lineup for 2013, raising the bar for Super Duty towing, hauling and braking. Ford engineers have raised conventional towing capacity to a class-leading 18,500 pounds, besting the nearest competitor by 500 pounds. Increased towing brawn goes hand-inhand with improved payload capability to a class-leading 7,260 pounds. F-Series Super Duty's best-in-class payload numbers are supported by an improved brake system that delivers increased capability and usability. Braking engineers increased brake rotor swept area by 16.4 percent in front and 14.5 percent in the rear for maximum braking to help dissipate heat, especially on long downhill grades. These changes support a 700-pound increase in the maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating to a best-in-class 14,000 pounds. Improved brake pads and a retuned booster enable enhanced pedal brake feel to increase driver confidence. www.landscapeirrigation.com
