Industry NEWSMAKERS Grundfos Holding's Board of Directors has ap- pointed Group Executive Vice President Poul Due Jensen as the new CEO of Grundfos. Jensen has been an invaluable part of Grundfos since the turn of the millennium. He replaces Mads Nipper who accepted an offer to become CEO of the energy com- pany Ørsted and will step down as CEO of Grundfos at the end of 2020. Scott Ausnes has joined Dakota Supply Group as corporate segment manager of its plumbing business based out of DSG's loca- tion in Plymouth, Min- nesota. Ausnes brings 17 years of experience in the plumbing wholesale and manufacturing industry and has held several progressive roles over his career. Aries Industries Inc. has added a Canadian dealer to its network, JD Brule Equipment in Greely, Ontario. Drilling Equipment Resources has opened a new warehouse in Alvarado, Texas. The company specializes in used and refurbished drilling equipment for a variety of industries. Entegra Attachments LLC of Saint Charles, Illinois, in July acquired Bloom Manufacturing Inc., a 110-year-old manu- facturer of standard and custom designed hydraulic winches, speed reducers, parts and accessories located in Independence, Iowa. Bloom's business designation has been slightly modified to Bloom Manu- facturing LLC. In-Situ Inc. has acquired Partech (Elec- tronics) Ltd., a manufacturer of drinking water and wastewater measurement equip- ment located in the United Kingdom. The company will continue to manufacture its products in the United Kingdom, service its customers, and operate under the Partech name, as an In-Situ brand. Mainline Sales is SJE Rhombus' new manufacturer's representative for the state of Nevada. Mainline Sales has nearly 40 years of experience as a professional man- ufacturers' representative firm covering California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii. Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology has agreed to acquire Allied Construction Products LLC, a distributor of hydraulic hammers for the construction and mining industries. Thermal Applications Group (TAG) Inc. is CSI Controls' new manufacturer's representative for Chicago, Illinois. As a manufacturers' representative, TAG serves the commercial plumbing, heating, and HVAC industries throughout the Chicago area. It has more than 50 years of experience supporting distributors, con- tractors, specifiers, and building owners. Each of them made an impact on their profes- sion and will be missed. NGWA Past President Tommy Bussell of Tomball, Texas, passed away on April 2. He was 86. Bussell served as NGWA president in 1977 (then the National Water Well Association). In 1987, he gave the keynote address at the annual convention where he stressed dedica- tion and commitment. It was the first time a member of the organization had presented the keynote address. Bussell was awarded the NGWA Life Member Award in 2007. Thomas Mark "Tom" Duffy, owner of Excel Drilling in Bozeman, Montana, and Bozeman Hot Springs, gave his life in a helicopter crash while fighting wild- fires in Oregon on August 24. He was the third generation of his family to pilot a helicopter for Gallatin County's Search and Rescue in Montana. Walter Anthony Govert, 83, co-owner of Govert Well & Pump Inc. in Janes- ville, Wisconsin, passed away on October 9, 2019. Before starting the business with his brother, Leon, in 1963, Govert was formerly employed by Fairbanks, Morse & Company and Weiland Well Drilling. Lawrence Dean Laramore, the adver- tising sales manager for National Driller, passed away on August 7 in Marianna, Florida. He was 60. Laramore was a long-time employee for BNP Media, which owns National Driller, and was a fixture at industry events and trade shows around the country. NGWA Past President Glenn L. Lyons of Stockton, Illinois, passed away on September 10. He was 95. He was a founding member of the National Water Well Association in 1947 and later served as NGWA president in 1995. His son, Larry, also served as president in 2004, putting them in rare company. Glenn received NGWA's Life Member Award in 2007 and the Ross L. Oliver Award— the most prestigious award given by NGWA—in 2003. Kenneth L. Madron, owner of K.L. Madron Well Drilling LLC in Avondale, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 22. He was 82. Madron established K.L. Well Drilling in 1962, and the firm is now a third-generation business. Alan Norman Marcus of Marcus Water Well Co. Inc. in Willmar, Minne- sota, passed away on September 26. Wayne Nash, CEO of WNC Inc. in Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on October 23. He was 70. A former Master Groundwater Contractor, he was popular at industry events and wrote a column titled "World According to Wayne" for the industry publication, National Driller. NGWA Life Member Peter Sears passed away on September 22 in Fitch- burg, Wisconsin. He was 79. Sears was the CEO of Baker Water Systems in Evansville, Wisconsin. He was named a Life Member of NGWA in 2003 and won its Standard Bearer Award in 2005. Daniel Shultes, CWD/PI, of Aqua- Tec Water Services Inc. in Gilboa, New York, passed away on July 7. He was 43 years old. He was a pump geothermal foreman for Aqua-Tec and a member of the National Ground Water Association. Rodney James Simonelli, a contractor with Ballard Water Well Co. LLC in Willis, Texas, passed away on June 29. He was 48 years old and a member of NGWA.
