The DD110B, DD120B and DD140B have dual amplitude settings that allow operators to easily adjust drum forces when the depth of the material changes. Eight amplitude settings are available via a hand wheel located inside Quick specs: Specifications Operating weight (lbs) Drum width (in) Drum diameter (in) Vibration frequency, high (vpm) Vibration frequency, low (vpm) Engine power (hp) the end of each drum. A spring-loaded design ensures precise adjustments for maximum compaction results with fewer passes. The compactor matches the amplitude setting with the ideal frequency to enable the compaction of thinner lifts and warm mixes without fracturing the aggregate in the mat. The units offer a travel speed of up to 7 mph, and the Tier 4 Interim D4 engine provides power and fuel efficiency. Two independent water systems have primary and backup spray bars, and give a consistent DD110B DD120B DD140B water flow to the drum surfaces. The machines have an unobstructed view that reduces opera25,517 28,008 31,744 tor neck strain while improving safety. The ROPS/ 66.93 78.7 84.1 FOPS structure has a console that can be rotated 180 degrees, and a vibration-isolated operator 51.2 55.1 55.1 platform with ergonomic controls reduces opera4,200 4,200 4,000 tor fatigue. Maintenance is simplified through a swing-up hood that ensures ground-level access 3,000 3,000 2,700 to the engine and hydraulic components. Lockable 131.5 148 148 covers reduce theft and vandalism. CONVENIENCE AND VERSATILITY Accurately locate drill head beacons at depths of up to 110 feet with Ditch Witch's TK Series HDD Guidance System. The series includes a singlefrequency tracker for smaller rigs and short bores with a 70-foot locating range and a tracker-to-rig range to 1,000 feet; a dual-frequency tracker for medium-size rigs and standard bores with a 110-foot locating range and 2,000-foot tracker-to-rig range; and a four-frequency tracker designed for large rigs and long bores with a 110-foot locating range and tracker-to-rig range of up to 2,000 feet. Equipped with both peak and null locating methods, the TK Series enables operators to locate with the method they prefer and then verify with the other. Easy-to-understand, highcontrast graphics are legible in bright light, and the upright design eliminates the need to bend over to read the display. The bore-logging/reporting software provides an accurate record once the job is finished. The system includes a remote display, beacon, hard case and batteries, and can be repaired. 14 June 2013 | EquipmentWorld.com EW0613_Marketplace.indd 14 5/29/13 2:52 PM
