Villa Terrace Decorative Arts
Museum
The Museum's sprawling, lush gardens are a
quiet refuge on Milwaukee's lakefront. From the
Parnassus Terrace to the Demmer Neptune Gate,
the Renaissance Garden of Villa Terrace charts
a path of beauty from the mansion down to the
shores of Lake Michigan. Along the path, visitors
encounter foliage, flowerbeds, water features,
butterfly gardens and more.
Inside the mansion, explore the breathtaking
beauty of architect David Adler's Mediterranean
vision and learn more about the Villa's history
in the current exhibit "Villa Incognito: Latent
Narratives in the Permanent Collection" on view
through September 26, 2021. This exhibition
examines the mansion and a group of objects
from the Villa Terrace collection including
reproductions, faux finishes, 20th century copies
of 17th century objects, miniature housewares for
children and numerous objects with overlapping
cultural influences.
For more information on the exhibit and to
make a reservation, visit Villa Terrace's website at
