May/June 2013 JULY/AUGUST 2013 According to Amit Bhojrai, product marketing manager at Cree, Inc., lighting quality is a key factor for petroleum and c-store owners and operators, as it pertains to the bottom line. "In retail environments, inadequate illumination caused by outdated lighting fixtures can create uneven illumination, making it difficult to read product labels in-store," Bhojrai says. "High-quality, energy-efficient LED lighting can offer a better solution for more even illumination and delivered light levels." Outdoor canopy lighting quality is equally as important, as guests tend to select gas stations that provide the best-perceived sense of security through optimized illumination levels.
