their tree ordinances. I also focus on school enrich- ment, including providing Arbor Day events to a couple thousand fourth-graders. I built a tree nursery with a middle school where we are growing hundreds of trees in above-ground fabric grow bags to plant across the school district's 53 campuses. I am in the beginning of starting a county-wide tree-planting non-profit partner. While at the City of Austin, we hosted a summer intern sponsored by SMA (now UCFS). It made an impres- sion on me that there was an organization devoted to my career path. I want to help UCFS grow and develop into a fully formed member-serving organi- zation that supports urban forestry professionals. It's also just a fun game, and I strongly believe everyone needs to regularly have pure child-like joy in their lives. I also hunt in the National Forest for turkey in the spring and deer in the autumn (I grew up hunting). My wife and I enjoy hiking, wineries, seeking out smash burgers, attending baseball games, and upsetting our neighbors by replacing our lawn with pollinator plants. Keith and his wife, Amber. Keith hunts in the National Forest. ucfsociety.org 15
