Training and Selling Resources The MICHELIN GREEN X marking guarantees a level of energy ® ® efficiency among the highest in the industry, and a more energy-efficient tire significantly reduces CO2 emissions. Dual technologies join to place Michelin at the forefront in energy-efficient tire design. EnergySaver Construction combines unique rubber compounds, and tire architecture to reduce heat, which reduces energy consumption. ™ EnergySaver Construction keeps the tire cooler. ™ Other tires heat up and use more energy. MaxTouch Construction broadens the tire contact patch and more evenly distributes the forces of acceleration, braking and cornering — thus reducing uneven wear and maximizing tread life. ™ Other tires without MaxTouch Construction may wear unevenly. Larger contact patch with MaxTouch Construction offers longer wear. ™ ™ The MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge is a competition between American Le Mans Series prototypes and GT vehicles racing in the annual American Le Mans Series. In this competition, the race team achieving the highest energy efficiency wins. ® ® Overseen by the Green Racing steering group composed of members of the U.S. Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, SAE International and IMSA, the scores are determined by measuring wellto-wheel oil consumption and emissions, race speed, energy use and vehicle weight against category competitors.
