The flex- ible 24-volt Grid System can be configured to fit almost any type of covered vehicle shelter and is designed to cover 5000 square feet. The size and configuration of the shelter will determine the grid pattern as well as the num- ber of Grid Systems needed. The Grid System can be pow- ered by the provided standard 110 input and plug, or by any voltage from 90 to 240 V ac. The Grid System supplies 24-volt dc current, which will power up to 30 of the 24V Reels. The 24-volt Drop Pulse and Charge unit charges and maintains any 24-volt lead-acid battery system inside vehicles left in covered shelters regardless of battery type (VRLA, AGM and flooded) or battery brand. When fully charged the system stops charging; the battery cannot be overcharged. Through- out the charging and maintenance phase this system delivers PulseTech's patented Pulse Technology to reverse sulfation build-up on the battery plates, enabling batteries to last longer and be ready to start when needed. LEDs indicate battery state of charge for touch free operation minimizing operator training. Each 24V Reel includes a 24-volt Drop Pulse and Charge unit, a 10' exterior dc input cable to reel, a reel with a retractable 38' cable and a quick disconnect connection that allows for the use of a flexible cable with connector that fits into a slave recep- tacle. In addition, it has a heavy duty cable with lugs or a heavy duty cable lead with clamps. One Drop Pulse and Charge unit is needed per vehicle. The Grid System and 24V Reels are designed to work in con- junction with each other and cannot operate independently. At least two personnel are required to install the Grid and Reel System although more people will make the installation easier and faster. By installing the Grid and Reel System yourself you can save thousands of dollars. System installation takes at least two people Installed Grid and Reel System ready for use Installed Grid and Reel System in use BATTERY MAINTAINERS 17
