800-580-7554 www.pulsetech.com TRAINING 19 The key to any quality BMMP at any location is trained technicians, and a functional shop SOP which should cover preventative, diagnostic, corrective and main- taining procedures. BMMP programs are intended to prevent or mitigate premature battery failure, reduce man-hour costs, transportation expenditures, and mini- mize overall battery consumption rates. The PulseTech BMMP training program is specifi- cally designed to teach leaders and technicians about the different types of automotive batteries, diagnostic testing systems, charging systems, and maintain sys- tems. During the training we emphasize ON equipment BMMP as the first (and preferred) COA and teach how to diagnose issues (series and parallel), proper charging techniques, how to maintain charges for longer periods, and get the most life out of all battery types. We also cover off platform BMMP ops, such as the importance of initial testing new batteries, triaging discharged batter- ies by date of manufacture, battery storage, etc. We go over the majority of lead acid (AGM, Flooded, VRLA, etc.) and Li-ion batteries being used in the majority of mili- tary platforms today. This includes the new 6T – Li-ion, 6TAGM (Hawker, Exide, Fiam and Ranger), 6TMF, 6TN, 6TLFP, 2HN, Optima family of batteries, 24V 4HN (flooded and AGM), 24V AGM, and others. Our FSR's have many years of experience working with all branches of the military on their specific BMMP programs. They have trained BMMP in hundreds of locations across CONUS, and across the globe including Iraq, Poland, Kuwait, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Japan, Guam, and many more. Please reach out to your supporting FSR anytime with any questions (see FSR support map on back cover of this catalog). Battery Maintenance Management Program (BMMP) Achieve an immediate and significant reduction in lead-acid battery consumption with PulseTech's BMMP. This program consists of diagnostic, preventive and corrective maintenance on-site training specifically customized to your military organization's needs and teaches man- agers and technicians the intricacies of modern lead-acid battery maintenance. Detailed training covers: • Many different types of automotive batteries most military technicians see on a consistent basis • How to diagnose batteries in a multitude of platforms • Platform-specific charging techniques • Battery safety • How to maintain charged batteries • How to increase the lifespan of all batteries Our comprehensive BMMP training takes a total of two hours. One hour classroom portion followed by one hour of hands-on portion conducted in the maintenance bay. A shorter hands-on only class (takes just over an hour) is also available.
