Thunder Bay Update As the new Extension Faculty member of Urban & Community Forestry in the Department of Environmental Conservation at the University of Massachusetts, I have the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who are passionate about community trees and urban green spaces. I recently had the opportunity to return to the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario for a meeting with other faculty members at my alma mater, Lakehead University. I was fortunate to also have the opportunity to meet with a long-time friend, Thunder Bay City Forester Shelley Vescio. Shelley graciously took the time to update me on the municipal forest practices in her community.
