Terex TL120 wheel loader The latest Terex TL120 compact wheel loader comes with far more than just a more powerful Tier 4 interim 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with intercooler; it has a new Terex Smart Control operating system, a quieter cab offering a better view to the ground for the operator and a new cooling system. Boasting 101 hp., the cleaner Tier 4i Deutz engine provides the 16,653-pound operating weight TL120 with approximately 16 percent more power and 90 percent lower exhaust emissions from its predecessor. Similar to menu guides on smart phones, operating the Terex Smart Control is very intuitive. Within the cab, a new dashboard display provides a better at-a-glance of machine operation information, while the multi-function joystick comes with an electro-proportional control circuit and a slow/fast key for precise handling. The keypad has extra-large keys for easy operation and all the fuses and relays are now mounted inside the cab. Terex TLB840 backhoe loader Powered by an electronic, Tier 4 interim Perkins 1204E-E44TA engine and an optional 4-speed servo power synchro transmission with automatic shifting, the 94-hp. Terex TLB840 backhoe loader is now available in North America. Engineered to excel in digging, reaching, lifting and loading applications, North American customers will notice the TLB840 boasts high torque, powerful performance, as well as strong climbing and digging capabilities. The Tier 4i-compliant engine on the TLB840 is designed with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technology, which is well-suited for lower horsepower engines operating in high-duty applications. EGR engines incorporate diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) systems and sometimes diesel particulate filters (DPF) to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter exhaust emissions. The new Perkins Stage III B/Tier 4i EGR engines, like the one in the Terex TLB840, include a DPF and allow auto-idle to be incorporated in machine. TT Technologies Grundomat boring tool The Grundomat piercing tool from TT Technologies bores consistently on target time after time. It is constructed from durable hardened alloy steel and reliable machined components for maximum power and precision. Grundomat tools are also equipped with an advanced reversing system, as well as an in-line lubrication system. Basic and deluxe packages are available with the Grundomat. The tool serves as a complement and, in many situations, an economical alternative to larger, more expensive directional drilling equipment. The chisel-head action of the Grundomat tool is unique because it hammers away at solid obstacles. This 2-stroke action means that the piston's impact is concentrated on the reciprocating tool head for optimum boring performance. The Grundomat is available in 16 models ranging from 1-3/4 inch to 7 inches in diameter, for horizontal boring distances from 50 feet to 150 feet. TurfEx offers new backpack, handheld sprayers TurfEx's TL40D backpack sprayer and TL20 handheld sprayer are designed for professional application of liquid chemicals, including fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and pesticides. They offer a variety of features to boost spraying performance and enhance operator comfort. With an empty weight of 13 pounds, the TL40D backpack sprayer includes a 4.3-gallon tank with a unique cone-shaped bottom that ensures all liquid flows to the manually pressurized diaphragm pump. The sealed, dual-stage pump is centrally located at the bottom of the tank, allowing consistent spraying pressure and flow. The TL20 handheld sprayer offers a 2-gallon tank with a high-efficiency pump for quick pressurization. It also contains professional-duty seals and O-rings for maximum durability. Both sprayers include professional-duty spray wands, which come with adjustable and flat-fan nozzles to accommodate a variety of applications. Each model is backed by a 1-year warranty. Vermeer introduces new pedestrian trencher Vermeer introduced a new model into its pedestrian trencher product line. The RTX250 is a rubber-track, steerable pedestrian trencher designed for the needs of rental businesses and utility contractors. The RTX250 uses a 25-horsepower Kohler electronic fuel-injected (EFI) gas engine that delivers more power over competitive models to dig 8-inch-wide trenches up to 48 inches in depth. This trencher is simple to operate with a 2-handlebar VZ steering system that allows easy mobility and operation without the need for numerous joysticks or significant operator training. A dedicated platform means additional counterweights are not necessary in order for the unit to trench properly and maintain proper balance. The dedicated rubber-track system is designed to minimize ground pressure. The undercarriage is equipped for excellent traction in tough soil conditions while keeping speed and stability constant. The unit is 35.5 inches in width — a small footprint for maneuvering in tight areas. Wright compact Stander Intensity Wright Manufacturing introduced a new, compact Stander. The Stander Intensity, known as the Stander I, is equipped with the first 36-inch deck to incorporate Wright's Aero Core technology. Operators will appreciate the deck's improved airflow, cut quality and anti-blow out features. The floating deck on the Stander I tilts side-to-side and front-to-back, allowing the mower deck to better follow the terrain contours. It also improves the weight distribution for better handling on hills. The rugged Stander I is also built for operator comfort. The floating standing platform absorbs rough terrain through elastopolymer bumpers that provide a dampened feel similar to a car. The bumpers are progressive to accommodate various-weight operators. Its wide stance provides greater control, and its forward slant makes the controls more ergonomic. The mower will be available with a 48- or 52-inch deck, as well as the 36-inch deck. Engines range from 18.5 to 22 hp. Editor's note: The products listed here are those submitted by manufacturers who responded for this recap focus.
