Bon Appétit Photo from Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian (continued on page 26) With 130,000 attendees set to hit Las Vegas it makes sense to plan ahead, especially if you are making reservations for a group. There are plenty of options from which to choose, but these are a few of our favorites. Steakhouses THE Steakhouse at Circus Circus 702-794-3767 Long-time visitors to Las Vegas agree that THE Steakhouse is a true treasure. It was Zagat's pick in 2011 for best steakhouse in the city with guests escorted to their tables in full view of the restaurant's meat locker where succulent cuts of beef are aged. Delmonico Steakhouse 702 414 3737 Located in the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Delmonico is the creation of New Orleans' chef Emeril Lagasse. According to Delmonico, the restaurant "brings back a time when lunch was an event, cocktail hour was not to be missed and dinner with friends was a celebration." Italian Ferraro's (702) 364-5300 Since 1985, Ferraro's has been one of Las Vegas' premiere places for southern Italian cuisine. Featuring an extensive, award-winning wine list, pastas, breads and desserts are made on the premises to complement a menu laden with exquisite dishes such as Osso Bucco, a house specialty, Costolette d'Agnello (double-cut lamb chops) and Salmone Bianca. Valentino (702) 414-3000 Opened in 1972 by Chef Gianni Paoletti and Piero Selvaggio, the restaurant was named for 1920s silent film star Rudolph Valentino. The dinner menu features pasta tastings, "A Taste of Our Menu," which is a sampling of all of Valentino's main dishes, and the "Chef's Extravaganza," including Pastai Bucha- tini, lobster, seared ostrich, assorted cheeses, and more. Menu includes recommended wine pairings. French Picasso 866.259.7111 Located in the Bellagio Hotel, Picasso is a 13-time AAA Five Diamond award- winning restaurant behind Executive Chef Julian Serrano. The menu is inspired by the French and Spanish regional cuisine that artist Pablo Picasso enjoyed. The restaurant's wine cellar has a selection of more than 1,500 European wines. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon (702) 891-7358 This restaurant is very unique, featur- ing counter service where dinner is prepared right before diners. Tapas, a tasting menu, and wines from around the world "in a friendly and interactive atmosphere" are signature elements you'll experience at this venue located in the MGM Grand Hotel. Asian Raku 702-367-3511 "Aburiya Raku" means "Charcoal Grill House Enjoyment," and that's what this Japanese restaurant offers diners. Starting with the "Saki Sampler" (three different types), and featuring a variety of hot and cold appetizers, as well as grilled specialties like Kobe beef, Raku is one of the most popular Asian venues in the city. Lotus of Siam 702-735-3033 Featuring the Northern district Thai cooking of Chef Saipin, complete with recipes handed down from generations of her family.
