HISTORIC THIRD WARD Just south of Downtown, this vibrant former wholesale and manufacturing district is enjoying a sparkling renaissance, with shops, galleries and restaurants. EAST TOWN WOMEN’S SHOP, 159 N. Broadway, relocated on the first floor, is the Milwaukee area’s oldest and finest resale shop. You’ll find the finest designer and name brand fashions as you browse for something “new for you” to update your wardrobe. This also is a “green” way to look right. Right next door is BANGLES & BAGS, a jewelry, handbag and accessory boutique catering to women looking for an affordable way to accessorize. The clever arrangement of items in color groupings makes this a fun as well as budget-friendly stop for gifts. Just off Broadway hit several other locally owned shops. Stroll east to 5 HEARTS. Located at the corner of Milwaukee and Menomonee Sts., this boutique features brands such as Citizen's of Humanity denim, Lucca Couture, Zoa, XCVI, 525 America, and Virgins Saint and Angel's jewelry, with an emphasis on helping each client highlight her own individuality. MODIFY, 222 E. Erie St., caters to both men and women, with gently worn shoes, clothing items and accessories displayed next to new, fashionable pieces and artwork. Across the street at VINO 100, 219 E. Erie St., you can relax and enjoy the vast collection of wines, or take a bottle home. The arrangement by flavor and body takes the stress out of selection. And, a variety of artisan cheese and cheesespreads from the state's top producers are available to nibble along with your vino. Cedar Creek Pottery, Cedarburg Cedar Creek Winery Luci Boutique 39
