www.xtremecharge.com 3 PULSE TECHNOLOGY Patented Pulse Technology PulseTech's Patented Pulse Waveform PulseTech Products' patented, high-frequency pulse waveform is of a specific amplitude and frequency that is precisely controlled by microprocessors. Make no mistake – this patented conditioning process is NOT pulse charging or a burst of high voltage provided within the charging regimen! Instead, the low- voltage, high-frequency conditioning pulse is introduced into the battery via a separate circuit independent of the charging circuit. This precisely-controlled waveform has proven to be the best at removing sulfation from the battery plates and returning lead sulfate back to the electrolyte solution. Sulfation is a wasting disease that dramatically shortens battery life and is the cause of 80% of battery failure worldwide. As the electro- lyte solution within the battery breaks down through age and lack of use, sulfate crystals coat the battery plates preventing them from performing efficiently and eventually rendering the battery useless. Pulse Technology solves the sulfation problem. Pulse Technology is a patented and unique battery treatment engineered to remove sulfa- tion from the battery plates, preventing premature battery failure and extending battery life up to five times. Pulse Technology has been scientifically validated through extensive test studies conducted with Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The United States Air Force Management Equipment and Evaluation Program also conducted their own studies of Pulse Technology and shared their findings: "This evaluation indicates that many batteries previously condemned could be reclaimed if Pulse Technology were used extensively… Pulse Technology worked by removing sulfation from the battery plates as the manufacturer claimed. It is un- known exactly how long a battery will last with Pulse Technol- ogy connected, but it is estimated at least eight to ten years of life can be added." The photos shown here are from an inde- pendent study comparing Pulse Technology to conventional charging. The photos are of actual battery plates after varying numbers of charge and discharge cycles. They clearly reveal the benefits of charging and pulsing with Pulse Technology versus charging alone. The top row shows plates from actual bat- teries charged and pulsed with PulseTech's patented Pulse Technology. The second row shows plates from batteries charged with a competitor's conventional charger. Note the development of lead-sulfate on the conven- tionally charged plates over time. Even after hundreds of cycles, the batteries charged and pulsed with Pulse Technology have no sulfate accumulation, ensuring that the batteries will perform at maximum peak capacity. B a tt e r i e s l as t u p t o The benefits of Pulse Technology are many. Primarily Pulse Technology increases battery efficiency to 100% and maintains efficiency at peak capacity by keep- ing battery plates free of sulfation buildup. Minimizing sulfation buildup causes a battery's life to be extended up to five times. The economic impact is significant. A lead-acid battery is not excessively expensive, however, expenditures rise dramatically when the cost of downtime, disposal, labor and replacement batteries is included. Additionally, a vehicle's alternator doesn't need to work as hard and should experience an extended life cycle, which allows the vehicle to be used with fewer repairs and associated expenses. The environmental payoff is exciting. After the tire, the battery is the most expensive and difficult product to dispose of safely. By extending battery life and improving battery efficiency the number of batteries disposed of prematurely can be reduced by over 70%. This protects the environment from additional waste and is the environmentally responsible way to approach battery use. Environmentally Responsible Products
