Make new memories at Pabst Mansion WHILE THE HISTORIC Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion is always a must-see in Milwaukee, October brings even more reasons to visit. During Retro Beer Night from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, visitors can lift a toast to the city's brewing history with the beers that will be on tap – Pabst, Blatz, Schlitz, and Old Milwaukee. The evening also features brats by Usinger's and sweet treats from Buddy Squirrel (another brew-city favorite). And, great beer memorabilia will be offered for bid at the Retro Silent Auction. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-mem- bers. Advance ticket buyers receive $5 off per tick- et. Tickets are available by phone, 414-931-0808, or at pabstmansion.com. The Pabst Mansion Food Drive on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. welcomes visitors to the Pabst Mansion with free admission with the dona- tion of four non-perishable food items per person. All tours are self-guided on this special day to help Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee. Last entry at 3:15 p.m. During Grand Tour Day on Sunday, Oct. 12, from noon-4 p.m., visitors have the special treat of a full- access, self-guided tour of the Pabst Mansion from basement to attic and all stops in between. Tickets are $12/adults and $8/kids 12 and under. Reservations are not needed. Last entry is at 3:15 p.m. Mark calendars now for Grand Avenue Christmas, Nov. 14-Jan. 4, 2015. While the mansion's national- ly recognized Christmas display adds an extra ele- ment to tours, Grand Avenue Christmas also has pro- vided settings for countless holiday parties and entertaining activities for the whole family. Each year brings elaborate new decorations and a chance for to create wonderful memories during the holiday season at the Pabst Mansion. Tours during the holiday season are mostly self-guided, with last entry at 3:15 daily. Regular hours are 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
