43 15455 w. bluemound rd. brookfield (across from brookfield square shopping center) 262.780.0011 www.wasabisakelounge.com exquisite japanese dining experience Christmas Eve, with the bar open until 4 p.m. On New Year's Eve, the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. If your preference is Japanese or Korean cuisine, WASABI SUSHI LOUNGE in Brookfield and its sister restaurant, KANPAI in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, again are offering special all-you-can- eat Sushi Buffets on Christmas Eve. All Bartolotta restaurants are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, but they're all open New Year's Eve, with many offer- ing special menus and packages. Contact the loca- tion of your choice for all the details. And like each location's New Year's Eve celebration, Sunday brunch menus reflect the different "personalities" of the restaurants. At LAKE PARK BISTRO, Sunday brunch is served up along with sweeping views overlooking Lake Michigan's shoreline. French cuisine rules here, so the Sunday brunch served 10 a.m.-2 p.m. offers choices that include Croque Monsieur & Madame. "Monsieur" is the classic Parisian sandwich of ham and Gruyere cheese with Dijon mustard while "Madame" is topped with Mornay sauce and a fried egg. At HARBOR HOUSE, Sunday brunch includes an amazing perspective on Milwaukee's skyline. The restaurant's location on a peninsula means diners gaze across the water to where Lake Michigan meets the soaring "wings" of the Milwaukee Art Museum's Quadracci Pavilion. In the mood for seafood? The chilled seafood and salad table offers fresh oysters and clams, while entrees include Eggs Benedict with crab cake, Harbor House lobster pot pie and Cedar-planked baked Atlantic salmon. Enjoy 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Located on Milwaukee's hip East Side is SOLO PIZZA. While brunch offerings include classics such as two eggs any style and french toast, Solo offers some innovative options as well. Choose from the Rise 'N Shine Burger, Breakfast Pizza or the "Hulk Hoagie" – hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and special breakfast sauce on a hoagie roll. Solo is closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, open 11 a.m. until close New Year's Eve, open 10 a.m. (with Brunch) until close New Year's Day. (THE BLACK ROSE, located next door, has the same hours with the exception of opening at 8 p.m. on Christmas Day.) Part of the Surg Restaurant group, the two HōM WOOD FIRED GRILL restaurants are conveniently located just north (Glendale) and west (Brookfield) of downtown. The Glendale location at the Bay Shore Town Center opens every day at 11 a .m. for lunch. The restaurant offers a menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees that stresses locally sourced ingredients. We love the diverse styles of the Surg Restaurant Group's establishments.
