So you do enjoy long walks on the beach? [Laughs] Yeah, but now with our kids, Lucia (2) and Carina (10 months), it gets harder to do all that. The evening you proposed to Amber on the "Survivor: All Stars" finale, host Jeff Probst announced she had won that season. After that, how often did Amber remind you that she beat you? That's not important; what's important is that she doesn't remind me of it anymore! You and Amber agreed to feature your wedding as a TV special. During the planning, she gently encouraged you to take dancing lessons, which turned out to be a disaster. Was it really as bad as it looked? It was a terrible idea—horrific! [Laughs] I wouldn't wish dancing lessons on any man. You either have the gene to be able to dance or you don't. Lessons aren't going to solve that. I have no rhythm, I can't sing, I can't dance and I can't play a musical instrument. After 117 days on "Survivor," and as the only person to ever partici- pate in the show four times, you must have a pretty solid strategy. Do you think this has implications for everyday life? Of course! If you think about it, life—like "Survivor"—is a social game. If you think it's not, you're crazy. Every day you have inter- actions with people and if you can find a common ground, you'll create good relationships. That's life! What's one thing we would be surprised to know about "Survivor"? People don't realize how real it is. You're starving—I lost 36 pounds in 39 days, you're out there in the rain, and the cameras never stop rolling. The show is the toughest thing I've ever done in my life. When you see it rain for one scene on TV, that could have been 18 hours. There were times when it rained for three days straight, it was cold at night, and the bugs! You can't feel bugs biting you through the television. But I enjoyed every bit of it. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but I like to challenge myself. "Every day you have interactions with people and if you can find a common ground, you'll create good relationships. That's life!" It's been said that Jeff Probst, the host of Survivor, has a "man crush" on you… how does that make you feel? [Laughs] Jeff and I have been friends for a long time. I don't know what it is, but we connected on a different level. He's a good guy and takes a lot of heat because he calls it as he sees it. Jeff is really good at what he does.
