PRODUCT ROUND-UP BLOWERS, SWEEPERS & VACUUMS STIHL BGA 85 HANDHELD BLOWER No gas. No cord. No emissions and almost no weight. The Stihl BGA 85 handheld blower boasts a 36-volt, lithium-ion battery for excel- lent blowing power that is quiet, clean, and best of all, cordless. This lightweight blower is extremely compact, weighing a mere 7 pounds without the battery, yet it delivers more than 100 mph of air to move stubborn yard debris. And don't expect any gradual power drops — this blower will run at full speed until it's time to recharge. It is an ideal blower for use around the home. And the BGA 85 blower is part of the Stihl Battery KombiSystem. As a result, the battery can be used interchangeably among a family of other Stihl lithium-ion products, including a chain saw, grass trimmers and a hedge trimmer. TANAKA TRB24EAP 23.9-CC HANDHELD BLOWER The Tanaka TRB24EAP is one of the lightest (only 8.6 pounds) and most powerful (441-cfm air volume and 170-mph air velocity with taper nozzle) blowers in its class. It features a purge primer for quick and simple starts; a low- emission, 23.9-cc/1.13-hp. PureFire II 2-stroke commercial-grade engine; a large throttle lever for easy operation; and an auto-return stop switch that automatically resets to the "on" po- sition for easier starting. The TRB24EAP's ex- ceptional balance and light weight make it ideal for small cleanup, while it has the power to handle larger yard work. Plus, the TRB24EAP is backed by Tanaka's 2-year commercial-use warranty, 7-year consumer-use warranty and 1-year rental-use warranty. TMC'S KTBL7000VI BACKPACK BLOWER TMC's KTBL7000Vi backpack blower has a lightweight (fully assembled dry weight of 19.8 pounds) and well-balanced design that enables hours of fatigue-free use. The commercial- grade, 64.7-cc, 2-cycle, Kawasaki engine — featuring dual-ringed pistons, a forged-iron crankshaft, and a 4-bolt chrome-plated cylinder — produces 3.9 hp. (rated to SAE J2723) and generates air output of 805-cfm air volume at a speed of 175 mph. The fiber-reinforced fan housing and blow-molded frame use tempera- ture- and UV-resistant resins for long life in the harshest conditions. A flexible throttle lever arm is designed to protect against damage from arm torque that may occur during use, storage, transport or accidental drops. An intelligently designed curved (end) pipe and ergonomically designed pipe handle provide directional control with minimal back pressure, allowing the user to maintain control even in full air output condi- tions. Dual cinching straps and a fully padded backrest support allow users to ideally place the blower on their back based on their preference. A 68-ounce fuel tank enables longer operating time between fuel fill-ups. TORO POWER BROOM Patented com- mercial power steering al- lows the Toro power broom to turn on a dime and maneuver effortlessly with the pull of a trigger. Designed for year-round use, the power broom is as effective brushing away snow in the winter months as it is clearing debris and dethatching the remainder of the year. The shift-on-the-fly transmission also provides an optimal speed setting for every operator and condition with 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds. The power broom features technology to allow the operator to adjust the height of the broom in precise 1/8-inch increments, making this an extremely versatile rotary sweeper. Additional- ly, independent control levers allow simultaneous engagement of ground drive and broom for in- creased operability. The power broom is equipped with a Kohler Command PRO multi-season engine, making it ideal for multi-season use. TURF TEQ POWER BROOM Brush pressure, brush speed and pivot angle (left/ right) can all be adjusted easily from the opera- tor position on the Turf Teq power broom. The power broom features a hydrostatic transmission, differential lock and 13-hp. Honda engine. The multi-use capability of the power broom allows the operator to sweep debris, clear snow, or dethatch lawns. The power broom attachment can also be removed, allowing the operator to mount a power edger, power rake, brushcutter or plow attachment. TURFEX THATCH, GROOM 'N' SWEEP PACKAGE TurfEx's Thatch, Groom 'N' Sweep Package is an attachment system designed for zero-turn mowers. This ver- satile system can be converted from a sweeper to a dethatcher without having to purchase additional equipment. Available in both 48- and 60-inch widths (models MT480 and MT600, respectively), the Thatch, Groom 'N' Sweep Package uses a universal mount that easily fits most zero-turn mowers. The attachment includes 2 rows of brush sections, which can be replaced with spring-mounted tines to turn the sweeper into a dethatcher in just a matter of minutes. To switch between the 2, the operator simply removes a containment plate, and then slides the brush or tine sections in and out of the housing. www.landscapeirrigation.com Landscape and Irrigation July/August 2015 33
