Mysteries of Cleopatra featured in outstanding exhibition at museum ONE OF HISTORY'S most mysterious figures is the focus of a feature exhibition at the Milwaukee Public Museum, 800 W. Wells St. Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt, the first U.S. tour of artifacts from two ongoing searches into her life and times, runs through April 29 at the museum. The exhibition features nearly 150 artifacts from Cleopatra's time and lets visitors experience the present-day search for the tomb of the elusive queen. The artifacts are woven into the story of her rule and life, unfolded in a dramatic setting with high-definition multimedia and original sound- scapes, including a complementary audio tour pro- vided every visitor. Organized by National Geographic and Arts & Exhibitions International, with cooperation from the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities and the European Institute for Underwater Archaeology (IEASM), the exhibition features statuary, jewelry, daily items, coins and religious tokens that have been uncovered from the time surrounding Cleopatra's rule. Tickets to the Cleopatra exhibit are on sale at 414- 223-4676 or 888-700-9069 and online at www.mpm.edu. On weekends, there are extended hours for this exhibit after the other museum floors close.
