There is also a similar framework for e-cigarettes with the relevant regulatory authorities in international markets. Additionally, the agreements provide for the sharing of improvements to the existing generation of products. PMI's chief executive officer André Calantzopoulos said, "PMI firmly believes that reduced-risk tobacco products, as well as e-cigarettes, represent an important step toward achieving the public health goal of harm reduction, a potential paradigm shift for the industry and a significant growth opportunity for the company. "Further to our plans for interna- tional test market introduction of our candidate reduced-risk products as of the second-half of 2014, this agreement establishes a roadmap for commercial- ization in the US, subject to FDA authorization. Hong Kong New Man at TSAL Tobacco Solutions Asia Limited (TSAL) has appointed Frederick Maan as its new sales & marketing manager at the firm's Luxembourg offices. Maan, a Dutch national, will oversee sales of equipment and tobacco consultancy to clients in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He holds an LLB honors degree in law from the University of Westmin- ster and was previously strategic planning & business development manager for Star Tobacco International, of which TSAL is a fully owned subsidiary. Italy PMI's first EU facility Philip Morris International (PMI) is to invest up to €500 million in its first manufacturing facility in the European PMI c.e.o. Andre Calantzopoulos
