T ransco Lines, Inc., based in Russellville, AR, has opened a new operations facility in North Little Rock. While the Russellville head- quarters is located on I-40 between Little Rock and Fort Smith, not as many of Transco's drivers pass through the office as often as the team would like. To solve that prob- lem, Transco listened to the drivers and opened a driver support center in a more central location. The new Little Rock facility is in a great location: it's close to the main offices but is in the in center of a southeast interstate hub. It establishes greater visibility for the drivers and helps meet a few of their needs in an area that more of the company's driv- ers pass through on a regular basis. The new facility offers a full capability shop with 6 drive-thru bays plus one bay fully dedicated to tractor-trailer align- ment. A drive through tractor-trailer wash is in place and will be opening soon. While the truck is being tended to, the new driver center features laundry facili- ties, men and women's showers, high- speed internet access, vending machines, and comfortable seating in front of large screen televisions. The driver areas are open 24/7 so that Transco's drivers always have a welcoming place available to them out of the truck. "This will be a great spot in our network for the drivers to take a break and have their equipment serviced by outstanding technicians," commented Transco's President Terry Wallace. "Time is money for our drivers and contractors so opening a comfortable facility that is easy to get to and highly efficient is valuable to them. We are responding to their requests. Just as important, we will also be able to see and talk to our drivers with significantly greater frequency than before, and that can only foster even bet- ter relationships." Transco Lines, Inc., or "TLI" (which might stand for "Teams Love It") has a strong focus on the relationships between company employees and contractors across the board and counts on the openness of these relationships to continue to develop the company in ways that benefit the drivers most. Transco specializes in just-in-time delivery and relies heavily on teams to add more efficiency to their customers' experience. The full fleet of over 350 ultramodern trucks includes a military line of trucks that represent each branch of the military. Many teams that apply now will get a brand new truck right out of orientation. > For more information about team driving jobs at Transco Lines, call (844) 845-8815, visit DriveforTranscoLines.com, or stop by the Driver Center at 1 Harold Ives Drive, North Little Rock, AR and ask for Shawn. by Elisa Reed Cover Story www.jobsfor teams.com JOBS for TEAMS | 24 Transco Lines delivers amenities to drivers
