POOLS & WATERPARKS In addition to the Oak Park and Radio City Park's plash pads and the Roosevelt Park swimming pool and water slide, you can find year-round water fun at Splashdown Dakota Super Slides (located inside Dakota Square Mall), the Minot YMCA and many local hotels. TRAILS If waking up with a morning run or finishing the day with an evening stroll suits your fancy, then our 35 miles of trails throughout the city will put some pep in your step! Some of the favorite and most scenic paths loop through Oak Park and Roosevelt Park. The Riverwalk of Minot provides a beautiful 2 ½ mile walking and bike trail. The Bison Plant Trail, located just off Hwy 52 E, is a great trail for bird watching. The Woodland Trail, located off the Hwy 52 bypass, is 3/4 mile looped aggregate trail that provides great access for birders and outdoor enthusiasts. The trail also provides recreation opportunities with fishing from the shoreline or one of the seasonal fishing piers. For additional information, visit minotparks.com. If you're the off-roading type, check out the scenic trails at Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge or go hiking and biking at Black Butte Adventures, just a few miles southeast of Minot. Visit blackbutteadventures.com for more information. PARKS Whether you're looking for a place to gather for a picnic, ride bike or walk your dog, Minot has a park that the whole family can enjoy! Conservation and Outdoor Skills Park Visitors stop by to fish or try their hand at the air rifle range, learn archery, explore the world of trapping and furtaking or even visit with a Game and Fish biologist. Call (701) 720-1640 for more information and upcoming events. ND State Fairgrounds 2005 E Burdick Expy Oak Park Oak Park is one of Minot's largest parks and has recently been completely updated. It offers picnic shelters, a splash pad, sand volleyball courts and playground, as well as beautiful, paved trails for walking and bicycling. Please no pets. 4th Ave W and 16th St N Polaris Park Minot's disc golf course also features a ball diamond, hockey rink with warming house, tennis courts and picnic shelter. 26th Ave NW and 6th St NW Roosevelt Park Roosevelt Park offers a playground, picnic shelters, tennis courts, swimming pool with water slide and more. 1215 E Burdick Expy Scandinavian Heritage Park Tour the Scandinavian Heritage Park, where you'll find remembrances and replicas from each of the five Scandinavian countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. 1020 S Broadway For a full listing of Minot's parks, outdoor sports complexes and trails, go online to visitminot.org/play/.
