12 Oil Prophets 12 Oil Prophets Following the General Membership Meeting, the first day ended with the association's Holiday Reception featuring food, beverages and a perfect time to relax and network with old friends. In conjunction with this year's reception, we held our inaugural silent auction to raise money for the PMAA's Small Business Committee (SBC) Political Action Committee. It was a fun shopping experience and a successful fund-raiser in support of our federal PAC. We are pleased that our first silent auction raised $9,500. The second day began with a Membership Breakfast and a message from Keynote Speaker: Senator Greg Reed, Alabama Senate Majority Leader provided insight on what we might expect during the 2016 legislative session. Our educational seminars concluded with Jobber Law, presented by Bob Bassman of Bassman, Mitchell & Alfano. Jobber Law 101 is a short course providing members with the basic legal considerations (e.g., Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, price discrimination laws, price fixing laws, price gouging laws) and understanding of contract law relevant to their relationship with their dealers. 12 Oil Prophets
