Minnesota Street Project is a new art incubator based in San Francisco's Dogpatch District. Adopting the start-up culture of Silicon Valley, the 100,000-square-foot campus will house exhibitions, lectures and programs in addition to private studios reserved for working artists. "I've been making these since the '70s, drawing on material in a way that's reflective of our time," says Pesce. "I believe that the future is feminine and some of the skins are about the capacity of women to give life and to mother all human beings."
