IDA MOVERS AND SHAKERS continued from page 17 New Cleat-like Attachment Works in Harsh Environments at Diffi cult Angles Woodbridge Equip- ment Parts Inc. is now the North American distribu- tor of TrackGrip, a patented track attachment that delivers greater traction for excavators, dozers, and ASV machines. Woodbridge is an aſt ermarket parts solutions provider that has been off ering high-quality, value-priced products for forestry, mining, earthmoving, construction equipment, and landscaping since 1986. TrackGrip is a set of metal claws that slips onto the track of excavators, dozers and ASVs to increase machine traction. Greater traction creates a safer operating environment. And depending on the applica- tion, TrackGrip can reduce the equipment and manpower required to perform the job. "You could do the same job without TrackGrip, but you might have to throw more money at it to complete the job, " says Michael Knight, Woodbridge President. "I recently spoke to a foreman who was operating a Track- Grip-equipped excavator on a hill at 45 degrees. I asked him how he would accom- plish the task without Track- Grip. He said he would need four additional people and a dozer to anchor to a cable attached to the excavator. TrackGrip enables a contractor to charge less on job estimates, increasing the opportunity to outbid your competition, so there is a real payback." Th e unit fi ts all 12- to 36-inch wide tracks, regardless of manufacturer. Fitting the TrackGrip takes approximately 15 minutes, and a wrench is all that's needed. Excavators weighing up to 16 tons are equipped with 16 track shoes. Excavators larger than 16 tons are equipped with 20 to 22 track shoes (about every fi ve sandstone, mud, clay, snow, and ice.
