T I C K E T S NO MEMBERSHIP FEES NO MONTHLY DUES MOVING AND NON-MOVING 844-784-6384 INTERSTATE TRUCKER LTD. © www.interstatetrucker.com Follow us on LEGAL LANE 22 // COMPANY DRIVER // APRIL 2016 When you are notifi ed of a possible search and enter the property, you are agreeing to the pos- sibility of a search by your presence. However, without a noticeable posted no- tice by the shipper and opportunity to decline the search before entering the property, you could reasonably fi le a police report for tres- pass against the guard. The difference between the government and private security guards is the government may force a search on you, the security guards may not. The security guard can't put you in jail or give you a fi ne for failing to allow them to search you or your truck. They can deny you entrance onto the property if you fail to permit the search. I want you to think for a moment about the men and women in uniform around the world who fi ght to protect your constitutional rights. In their fi ght to protect your rights they often are injured or killed. I would ask you to visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org to deter- mine if you would like to make a donation to help our wounded service men and women restore their lives. Anything you donate will be appreciated and just a small price for the protection of your rights. CD Jim C.
