Sail into Port
Washington's history
at the Exploreum
Port Exploreum is a gem of a museum that tells
the story of Port Washington through interactive
displays, dramatic graphic presentations,
a family nautical museum and featured
exhibitions.
The Exploreum's historic three-story
building was renovated to create a spacious-
feeling, open environment. The original
brick walls and wood floors create an
intriguing interior, while sweeping views of
Lake Michigan from large windows and an
outdoor deck help tell the museum's stories.
The Port Washington Historical Society
spearheaded the project and operates the
Exploreum, located at 118 N. Franklin St.,
Port Washington. Hours are 10am-5pm,
closed Tuesdays and holidays. For more
information, visit portexploreum.com or
phone (262) 284-2406.
