TACO COMFORT SOLUTIONS HIRES KEN WATSON AS MARKETING BRAND MANAGER Taco Comfort Solutions announced the appointment of Ken Watson to the new position of marketing and brand manager. Watson brings more than 20 years of advertising and market- ing experience to Taco, having served in both agency and client-side roles over the course of his career. He spent 16 years working for Fahlgren Advertising and then Fitzgerald+Co/ McCann Worldgroup, both in Atlanta. He was marketing manager at Textron, Inc. in Providence, R.I., prior to joining Taco. His diverse experience spans research, branding, creative development, retail pro- motions, sales support, sports marketing, B2B, social/digital marketing, media planning/buying, PR and expe- riential marketing, and includes management of several ADDY award winning campaigns. He has worked with a wide variety of national and inter- national brands including NAPA Auto Parts, Black & Decker and DEWALT power tools, Bell Helicopter and Cessna Aircraft, E-Z-GO Golf cars, Nutrilite vitamins, Kroger supermarkets, Toll Brothers homebuilders and Florida Tourism. "Ken Watson brings a wealth of hands-on experience to our marketing team here at Taco Comfort," commented Gene Fina, vice president of marketing. "Ken will serve as a key player in over- seeing marketing and sales initiatives with our rep agencies and outside marketing partners. We welcome him to the Taco family." A native of Atco, N.J., Watson holds a B.S. in management/ marketing from Rutgers University and makes his home with his family in North Kingstown, R.I. NORA TECHNICAL WORKSHOP The National Oilheat Research Alliance will hold a Technical Workshop in Newport, R.I., in conjunction with the Southern New England Energy Conference. It will be held Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the first NORA Technical Meeting following the Alliance's reauthorization and it is an opportunity to share detailed information on the latest results of the NORA research projects and other technical developments. Major topics planned for the workshop include: biofuels, fuel quality, combustion/burners and efficient systems and controls. At present, two German research organizations have com- mitted to participation with technical presentations on recent developments there. Proceedings will be published and speakers will need to submit at least a short paper. At present, NORA is fully open to presen- tation proposals. Presentation proposals will no longer be accepted once all slots are filled. The Conference venue is the Hotel Viking, 1 Bellevue Ave., Newport, R.I. Rooms will be $239 per night. GRUNDFOS USA APPOINTS NEW GENERAL MANAGER Grundfos has elevated Jonathan Hamp-Adams to the newly- created role of general manager of Grundfos USA.
