US New VP of IT for USTC US Tobacco Cooperative Inc. (USTC), is pleased to welcome Fred McClintock as the new vice president of information technology. He will be responsible for technology operations across all divisions within the company and the long term systems planning initiative. McClintock comes to USTC with extensive senior IT management experience in complex manufacturing and retail environments. His career has included over 16 years with several organizations including EDS, Pricewa- terhouseCoopers, RF Micro Devices, and Dana Holding Corporation. Additionally, McClintock has spent the last four years as director, supply chain and pharmacy solutions delivery for Delhaize America in Salisbury, NC. McClintock has strong ERP implemen- tation experience as both an SAP Management Consultant and SAP Project Manager. "Fred has the depth of knowledge and experience to lead the technology demands of the company. His extensive background running large scale, multi- location operations make him a natural fit for USTC," said US Tobacco Cooperative chief executive officer Stuart Thompson. "We welcome him to USTC and are confident he will continue to drive our business forward." UK/France Show Welcomes VIPs TFWA has announced that Julián Díaz González, c.e.o. of Dufry will address delegates at this year's TFWA World Exhibition & Conference. As head of a business that is one of the most signifi- cant players in the global duty free and travel retail industry, he will be offering a unique perspective on the industry during a fascinating period of its evolution. Former UK foreign secretary David Miliband and social media pioneer Randi Zuckerberg will also be taking to the stage. They will join TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen, who will outline the challenges and the opportunities facing duty free and travel retail at a time of considerable political and economic change and a slowing of growth of global sales. The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will take place at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes, October 2-7, 2016. As well as a program of top-flight speakers, a selection of debate-fuelled workshops will give attendees fresh insight into the major issues shaping the duty free and travel retail industry.
