WCTA CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS The WCTA 2013 Conference Organizing Committee invites you to share your knowledge, skills, and expertise by submitting to be a presenter at the 2013 Conference and Trade Show. Presenting at the conference is a great way to share research and experiences and increase your visibility within the profession, improving your value to your employer. It also gets you full access to all conference activities! The conference takes place in sunny Penticton, BC from March 3-5, 2013 and our goal is to provide a world- class educational opportunity for turfgrass managers from all sectors. The committee realizes that to do this, we will need to create a program with a strong mix of educators, researchers, technical consultants, turf managers and others with expertise across a wide range of subject matter. National and International presenters are welcome to submit but we also recognize and encourage participation from those with tremendous talent right in our own back yard. The WCTA is seeking presentations on topics ranging from innovative technologies to success stories, case studies and university research, to compliance and advocacy. If there is a topic of importance to you, keep in mind it's probably important to many others so feel free to make suggestions. Please complete the form in the show section at www.wcta-online.com The deadline is July 31, 2012 and the Organizing Committee will review all submissions and notify selected presenters by early September. If you have any additional questions, please contact Jerry Rousseau at exec.director@wctaturf.com MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR NTA CONFERENCE The Northwest Turfgrass Association has set its annual conference to be three days and two nights at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the coast of southern Oregon. The conference will be held Oct. 28-30, with a welcoming round of golf on Sunday afternoon and a reception to follow. Educational sessions will be held Monday and Tuesday mornings with another round of golf set for Monday afternoon. One of the rounds of golf will be held at the new Old Macdonald layout. While registration information and the costs are not yet set in stone, the NTA wants to make the conference affordable for everyone. With that in mind, the NTA is looking at a $550 registration fee that will include the lodging, golf and most meals. This rate will be based on double occupancy at the resort, so plan to share a room with a buddy, and share in the golf education and good times at Bandon Dunes. The NTA is currently working on providing two outstanding educational sessions.
