There's something for every- one at the largest celebration of Polish culture in the U.S. Fest-goers find loads of fun with food, music, dance and more on five stages of enter- tainment. Hours are noon-mid- night Friday and Saturday and noon-8pm Sunday. Fabulous fireworks This year, Polish Fest brings fireworks to the lakefront two nights, Friday and Saturday at 10:30pm. On Saturday, the "Big Boomski" is sponsored by Nick Ignatowski of Planners Finan- cial Group. Non-stop music Participation is the name of the game at the Non-Stop Polka stage, with groups like The Knewz, TNT, Box On and the Polka Country Musicians. Top-notch performers at the Miller Contemporary Stage include BarDog Sitters, Squee- zebox with Ted Lange and Mollie B, The Larry Lynne Band and The Noyz Boyz & Gryrlz. Wowing crowds at the Cho- pin Vodka Cultural Stage are groups like Dzianisanie Polish Highland Dance Ensemble, Syrena Polish Folk Dance En- semble and Wici Song & Dance Ensemble. The Children's Stage and the Folk Stage also feature a wide variety of entertainment. The fun includes folk dance and polka lessons, as well as Jim "Spoon Man" Krzewski, Wayne & Wingnut and Julie Sobanski (Magicienne & Escape Artist). Great food, beer & vodka tastings Restaurants offer delicious ethnic specialties like Polish sausage, pierogi and potato pancakes. At cooking demos, expert cooks prepare Polish favorites. Polish Fest is the only ethnic festival to directly import beer (Tyskie) for its festival. Enjoy a cold one at the Tyskie Beer Garden.
